It is a very calm local island with more than 50% of the Island covered by its original vegetation, predominantly coconut trees

About 40 local inhabitants live in the island, the remaining being foreigners working in the tourism field
There are local shops and small cafés
A medical center with a permanent resident doctor is available on the Island, and in the atoll capital Felidhoo, island located 10 minutes away by boat, there is a hospital
