We spent 8 days at the Ecoboo Hotel for our honeymoon. The hotel is beautiful and close to the beach. The staff are always smiling, very kind, and very professional. We had a wonderful first experience in the Maldives. The activities offered are incredible. We didn't have a single dull moment! The activity guides are also fantastic! Thank you to Patrick, Sam, Jerry, and everyone else for their kindness and helpfulness.

We stayed for 9 nights for our honeymoon and we were extremely happy with the choice we made.
Amazing local island, clean rooms and many options for food at buffet.
The staff makes you feel like you belong there and everyday you have a different excursion, we were able to see mantas, sharks, turtles and many colourful fishes.
We usually not return to the same place twice, but here we will come again for sure.

It was our first time in Maldives and the experience was absulutely amazing! Our room was always clean, the service was very good and there was always a new experience to enjoy Maldives. Our special thanks to Sam who is always smiling, spreading positive vibes and makes sure everybody but EVERYBODY enjoys their holiday. He was definitely one of the reasons that made our vacation one of the best. I also couldn't help but notice he was taking care of the kids so the parents can have a break. It was amazing seeing him with the kids, he is full of love and care. The team on the boat was also absolutely amazing. It is very special to have people around that are always ready if you need something. The restourant staff was very nice and welcoming. The food was good. Patrick, who was responsible for the activities, was doing his best to make sure we were enjoying our time. He was very happy to see that I was getting better at snorkling everyday. They have equipments that you can keep until the end of your vacation and you can go snorkling by the hotel beach by yourself. The water is amazing there. We definitely enjoyed our holiday and will come back and stay in Ecoboo.

This was our fifth trip to the Maldives. We have already visited 17 islands, so we truly have something to compare with. For us, the Maldives has become a place we return to as if coming home. This trip was especially meaningful: after serious health problems, I spent almost 18 months in hospitals and could not travel. Returning to the ocean, islands, beauty and life felt priceless. Our love for Ecoboo Maldives on Thinadhoo, Vaavu Atoll, began even before arrival. Huge thanks to Ms. Francielle from reservations and to Mr. Fernando, the Sales and Marketing Director. Before we arrived, these two wonderful people had made our future stay feel special and happy. Ms. Francielle helped with the booking and answered every question with warmth, patience and professionalism. Mr. Fernando coordinated everything with great care and kindly arranged a wonderful room upgrade for us. Thanks to them we felt welcomed, cared for and happy before setting foot on the island. Ecoboo Maldives is truly special. There are several hotels on Thinadhoo, including Plumeria, but Ecoboo is different: a boutique hotel with soul, where they value each person, not the flow of guests. Here you are seen, heard, remembered and surrounded by human warmth. Special thanks to the reception team: Lusi, Roma and Damsara. They were always nearby, explained everything clearly, reacted quickly and were incredibly kind. Every request was heard and solved almost immediately, giving us comfort and safety. We are very grateful to the excursion team led by Patrick. He organized our trips perfectly: everything was clear, calm, on time and handled with care. Thanks to him, we could simply enjoy the ocean and the moment. I would especially like to mention Valentina. She is not only beautiful, but also an incredible snorkeling guide. With her, everything felt calm, interesting and comfortable. She truly understands the ocean, shows the beauty of the underwater world and takes great care of guests. Sam is a swimmer by nature. It feels as if he was born in the water and lives in the water. He moves in the ocean so naturally and confidently that you feel calm and safe beside him. Watching him swim is a pleasure. Valentina and Sam made our excursions real memories filled with beauty, emotion and joy. A special thank you to Ibu for his help and attention. A separate thank you to the restaurant team: Akter and Antar. The service was attentive, warm, polite, always with smiles and care. Every meal was a pleasant experience, and we truly felt welcome. And, of course, huge thanks to the chefs, Saiful and Prajwal. The food was amazing. Their dishes impressed us: delicious, bright, soulful, with the feeling of signature cuisine and real love for what they do. The dinners felt like celebrations. This was not hotel food, but cuisine with talent, generosity and heart. We also loved Thinadhoo itself. The island is beautiful, peaceful and full of life, and the reef became a special love of ours. From the far corner near bikini beach and further along the side of the island, you can drift with the current along the reef wall and enjoy wonderful snorkeling. We swam there every day, sometimes three times a day, because it was impossible to stop. The reef is beautiful, alive and interesting, with many fish and marine life. We saw two amazing turtles, many sharks, colorful fish, and every time there was something new to discover. We were so happy with Ecoboo Maldives. We loved everything: the island, the ocean, the reef, the food, the excursions, the atmosphere and, most importantly, the people. This hotel has a soul, created by its team: Ms. Francielle, Mr. Fernando, Lusi, Roma, Damsara, Patrick, Valentina, Sam, Ibu, Akter, Antar, Saiful, Prajwal and the entire Ecoboo team. Thank you for your warmth, care, service and unforgettable days. Fantastic place to stay on a beautiful local island. It’s basically a small resort all built in bamboo, right by the gorgeous white sand beach lined with palm trees. You can literally walk to the reef and do snorkeling. The food is plentiful and of good quality. There are daily boat trips you can take to explore the surrounding area. We only went on one excursion to a sandbank and took part in a bonfire ceremony at sunset. It was magical. The staff are lovely and attentive and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. We also got a Balinese massage at their spa and it was super relaxing.
On a side note, I would like to advise all travellers to be careful as there are mosquitoes on the island and my friend caught dengue during our stay. After a week in Maldives we travelled onward to Sri Lanka and on our second day there he had to be admitted into a hospital. This is not the hotel’s fault of course and it’s a general risk in a lot of tropical countries. The relaxed holiday vibe can give you a false sense of safety, so please use mosquito repellent spray at all times to avoid bites or get vaccinated before you travel.

Every detail was perfect—the suite, the crystal-clear waters, and the serene atmosphere that made us feel like we were living in a dream, especially for my birthday surprise in such a breathtaking setting!
What truly made this experience unforgettable were the incredible people who went above and beyond to make us feel special. Loredana, Valentina, Felice, and Inkey — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness, professionalism, and smiles turned our vacation into a memory we will cherish forever.
The staff was incredibly attentive and always ready to go the extra mile to make our stay perfect. The suite was immaculate, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views of the turquoise waters.
The food was exquisite, with delicious options every day. The activities were equally amazing, giving us the chance to explore the stunning marine life and enjoy the natural beauty of the Maldives. Whether it was snorkeling, sunset cruises, or simply relaxing on the pristine beach, every moment felt magical.

We booked because of the sustainable focus. Rooms were nice but our ceiling fan was broken and unable to be fixed during our stay.
Food at the main dining area was very bland and disappointing. Beach bar food was ok but nothing special.
Beach was beautiful with plentiful seating, snorkelling excursions were fun but communication from staff about them was poor. Balinese massage was great.

We stayed at Ecoboo the third week of January and still today we think back with joy to the days spent in this magnificent boutique hotel. We took advantage of an experience pack including overnight stay, full board and all the excursions which we certainly recommend. Communications with the property before departure and throughout our stay were very simple, in particular thanks to Loredana who always answered all our questions with great precision and punctuality. Once we arrived we appreciated the excellent organization and warm welcome starting from the arrival at the airport in Male, to the speed boat transfer up to check-in. The structure is wonderful:
new, clean, with attention to the smallest details. the restaurant and beach bar are beautiful and literally on the white sandy beach.
The island of Thinadhoo is fantastic: the bikini beach actually extends along the entire island and the reef can be reached by swimming and is rich in corals and fish.
We really appreciated Ecoboo's cuisine which we always found varied and of great quality. Phenomenal grilled fish! Not least all the chef's other dishes! The excursions are unmissable and allow you to discover the many wonders of the Vaavu atoll, from the reefs of the nearby islands to the most remote sandbars. They take place on board the legendary Dhoni and you are always in the company of a fantastic crew, friendly, smiling and above all very prepared during the guided snorkelling trips.
The experience of our first dive with the Diving instructor Serena was unforgettable! A warm thank you to all the staff who made us feel pampered like family!

A wonderful 8-day holiday at Ecoboo is behind us. After getting to know the whole island, we have to say that he was the best! Everything was impeccably clean - from the rooms to the well-kept beach and the yard, which was meticulously cared for by the employees. The smell of lemongrass will always remind us of our stay at Ecoboo :). The beds are very hard, but whether this is an advantage or a disadvantage is an individual matter. Delicious food - we especially liked the cream of chicken soup, tuna and non-alcoholic drinks. Chapeau bass for Shabeen, who organized the trips. He cared about our safety and that we had fun and had a souvenir from snorkeling in the form of a video. It was very nice. Thank you and we will come back again!

The guests are mostly Italians)
The island is very cozy) you can get around completely in about 20 minutes, there is a large Plumeria hotel nearby, we went there to play table tennis, visually we liked our hotel and the beach more, they only have a larger territory, and we also rented a jet ski from them, 30 minutes - 50$
Transfer to the island takes 1:30 minutes and is inexpensive compared to other hotels
I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful hotel to everyone, price/quality ratio 10 out of 10

We did not know which island we should take as there are so many options. We found Thinadhoo island and this superb ECOBOO hotel. Everything was perfect: room, staff, food, beach. Most importantly, everything is done to respect the environment of the island (hotel in bamboo, no plastic, recycling, desalination plant etc).

We went for diving with Serena and it was amazing! Great divemaster! You could see how much she loves the sea :).
The Scuba Diving-Equipment was brand new! Go and check this out!

We stayed for 4 nights. We got amazing room with view to the sea. Hotel staff was very pleasant. Room was very clean and nice. We had full board with breakfast, lunch and as well dinner. Food was very good like bufet style just maybe would be fine to add to the breakfast some vegetables. Every day is possibility go to trip organised by hotel like swimming with the sharks etc. Overall our experience is was very nice. If you want travel back to Male in Friday, speedboat is scheduled only in 7PM, no afternoon transportation, only seaplane option.

After reading a lot of reviews and being unsure where is the best option to go in the Maldives, we decided to book the experience pack in Ecoboo and it was the best decision we made!
The place blends in with the nature of the island very quiet and simple; giving you very nice memories to remember back home
The whole staff is cooperative and very welcoming starting from the manager Mr. Hugo to the room service wich is done twice a day.
All the trips we did everyday were very exciting ; swimming with the nurse sharks, sand bank island, ship wrack, fishing and dolphins watching so many good memories for us as a family. Our youngest baby Orwa/ 2 years, was able to snorkel with us and see many fishs and even nurse sharks! He was so excited about this experience same as his sisters. For us this was the highlight of all the trips to be able to swim all together as a family
Here I want to send a special thanx to Sirina and Shabeen, who where responsible for the trips, for making it possible for us as a family with baby and 2 children to swim all together very safely, for being always caring and ready to help as if they were a family member and this is exactly what you get at the Ecoboo boutique hotel.
Food could have been more variable especially the fruits since we are on a tropical island but still it was delicious and that’s what matters most ;)
